I’m Jamie and together with my husband Allen, we are Burnt By Braun.

I’ve always had a deep desire to be creative, to make things, using wood especially. After years of dabbling and hobby trying I discovered something monumental, I’m not especially crafty. I do however have creative ideas and an eye for detail. But how could I use that, along with my love for wood, without stealing my husband’s power tools and enduring an inevitable injury? When Allen suggested we try Laser Engraving, I was curious. We got our first laser and I began learning. I polished my digital creativeness and transferred that onto first wood, then slate, moving to tumblers and eventually glass. Our one engraver became 3 as I practiced new techniques. I continue to learn and create exciting new things all the time, never ceasing to be amazed every time the engraver uses one of my own designs to create something unique and beautiful.
